To mark the International Disabled People's Day that falls on December 3, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe will give five performances from December 1-4 at the Great Hall of the People.
Entitled "My Dream," it will be a comprehensive show including singing, dance and musical instruments.
The troupe's representative dance spectacular, "The Thousand-handed Goddess of Mercy," was wildly popular at China Central Television's Spring Festival Gala Show early this year.
The December show, lasting an hour and 50 minutes, consists of 12 programs. This is the third adapted version since it was created in 2000. According to the organizers, half the programs are new.
It will be shown live on December 4 at www.cncmax.cn, a new website China Netcom has set up for disabled people, with sound and pictures.
At the press conference on November 15, China Netcom Group announced a donation of 3 million yuan (US$370,370) for the Disabled People's Art Foundation.
The disabled people's troupe has performed at the John F Kennedy Center in New York City and the Teatro alla Scala in Venice, two of the world's most prestigious theatres.
