Fortune China Release Ceremony Held in Beijing

China Daily Website publishes Fortune China on July 15. The book, which is authorized by the Information Office of the State Council and Time Warner Inc., aims to provide elaborate information on the 2005 Fortune Global Forum.

The publication ceremony of Fortune China is held in the News Release Hall of the State Council Information Office with Zhang Ping, president of China Daily Website, as the host.

Zhao Qizheng, minister of the State Council Information Office and Cai Fuchao, director-general of Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, present and deliver speeches for the ceremony.

Zhu Ling, editor-in-chief of China Daily, and Hugh Stephens, senior vice president of the International Relations & Public Policy (Asia Pacific) of Time Warner Inc., present copies of the book to some representatives of Global 500 enterprises like Deloitte, BMW, and GE.

The book divides the forum into 5 parts by 5 themes -- China, Asia, World, Culture, and Sports -- and contains about 200,000 words and hundreds of pictures accompanied with more than 30 pages of color inserts. Important speeches such as the speech by the Chinese President Hu Jintao, splendid lectures and dialogues given by guests from 30 meetings, and unique opinions on current issues delivered by forum attendees are all recorded fully in the book. Many picture scoops and some forum features are also published for the first time.

Zhao Qizheng, writes the preface of the book, and Richard Parsons, CEO of Time Warner Inc., inscribes the book.

The 2005 Beijing Fortune Global Forum was successfully held on May 16-18 in Beijing, with 27 government officials, 76 CEOs from Fortune 500 companies, 847 Chinese and foreign guests, and more than 600 journalists participating in the forum. Fortune China roundly records the "2005 Beijing Fortune Global Forum" with lots of pictures and articles, offering authoritative and first-hand information to readers.
