Rock Musicians to Hold Concert of Revolutionary Songs

Top Chinese rock bands and singers will gather in Beijing's Workers Stadium on July 1 to perform revolutionary songs, marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.

They will perform revolutionary songs to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.

It will be the largest performance ever staged by Chinese rock stars.

Normally war commemorations highlight the cruelty and suffering of battle. But this concert is intended to celebrate the victory over fascism and highlight the pride and honor of the Chinese people.

Performers and bands slated to perform include the father of Chinese rock, Cui Jian, also Han Hong, Zheng Jun, Zero Point, Black Panther, Tang Dynasty, Wang Feng and Second Hand Roses.

Many more bands and artists are still applying to participate in the concert.
