Chinese Pianist to Hold Solo Concert in New York

Famous Chinese young pianist Li Yundi is to hold an solo piano concert at New York's prestigious Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on April 28.

This will be his second solo concert in New York City.

The repertoire includes Dance of Grand Poland by Chopin, Spanish Rhapsody by Liszt, the Carnival of Shuman and Sonata for C Major by Mozart.

Born in southwest China’s Chongqing City, Li Yundi displayed great music talent in his early childhood and started the learning piano at the age of nine.

He shot to fame in 2000 at the age of 19-year-old by winning the Golden Prize at the 14th Warsaw International Piano Contest.
