The first phase of the Chinese Wine Culture City Project, entitled "the Exhibition Center of Celebrated Wines from Home and Abroad", was completed on February 28. The center will open to the public in June and will give quality appraisal of participating exhibitors and will only permit "genuine wine" and "famous wine" to be exhibited.
The Chinese Wine Culture City, located in the south square of Beijing's West Railway Station, boasts a total investment of 3 billion yuan and has a total construction area of 280,000 square meters.
According to Wang Bo, vice chairman of the China Liquor Commerce Association, the entire construction project of the Chinese Wine Culture City consists of the Chinese Wine Culture Museum, the Chinese Wine Development Archives, the Chinese Wine Trade Center and other related facilities.
The second phase of the project is to be completed by June next year. At that time, the Chinese Wine Culture City will function as the center of trade, research, regulation, distribution, exhibition for wine, becoming the biggest "United Nations" of wine products in the country. In the Exhibition Center of Celebrated Wines from Home and Abroad, citizens can have a try at winemaking and have fun.
