The 2005 China Contemporary Lacquer Arts Exhibition opened Thursday in Beijing.

This is the largest lacquer art exhibition since the founding of the People's Republic of China. The works are from over 200 artists from China, Japan and South Korea, and the pictures featuring the development of Chinese lacquer art since the Neolithic Age.

The exhibition will last for one month.
