A Draft on Tests to Be Issued

The Shanghai-based Xinmin Evening News says a draft law on academic tests is expected to be issued this year.

The draft will only cover those tests organized by the Chinese government, such as the entry tests for high school or college students and College English Tests.

Tests organized by social or other institutions including TOEFL and IELTS will not be regulated.

Up till now, no specific law existed on how to deal with issues such as cheating in tests or exams.
