As Latin America in Hong Kong festival closed here Saturday, more than 100 guests toasted to celebrate the successful completion of the festival.
At a restaurant in the Peak of Hong Kong, where the closing party was held, performers of the festival gathered together to give splendid performances in front of the guests including consuls general of Latin American countries.
At the party, the organizers showed their thankfulness to all who have contributed and supported the festival. They hoped that the festival to be held next year would give more surprise and happiness to Hong Kong people.
According to the consul general of Columbia, Olga Forero De Silva, such cultural festival would be held once every year, and specific themes would be set so as to enhance Hong Kong people's understanding of Latin American culture.
The Latin America in Hong Kong festival was co-launched by GRULAC members, which are the consulates of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela in Hong Kong. Itkicked off on Oct. 28 and a series of cultural events had been taken place in different place of Hong Kong.
