One hundred elite photographers across the Taiwan Strait as well as from Hong Kong and Macao used their cameras to snap focus in Macao in 24 hours starting on Wednesday.
The Record of 24 Hours in Macao is a photo-shooting activity jointly sponsored by the Macao Tourist Office, the Photographic Society of Macao and Taiwan's China Times.
The Tourist Office hoped that the photographers could grasp the unique beauty of Macao with their cameras.
Their photo works are expected to be compiled into an album, and later put on show in the Chinese mainland, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Many photographers are familiar with Macao's mix of Portuguese and Chinese culture and architecture.
Guo Jianshe, a Beijinger who chairs the Baixing Photo Club said that he came to Macao before the 1999 hand-over. He walked almost every street in Macao and he particularly likes the ruins of St. Paul's Church and the Barra Temple.
