Norwegian New Age duo Secret Garden kicked off their China tour Thursday night. Violinist Fionnuala Sherry appeared on stage in dark dress and opened with her classic melody Dance of Winds.
The duo performed twenty-four songs including most of their classics and three Chinese songs. The group also added a little Chinese flavor to their performance with an Erhu, a two-stringed Chinese fiddle, with violin accompaniment on the capital's stage.
Secret Garden is made up of Norwegian keyboardist Rolf Lovland and Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry, plus musical accompaniment. Formed in 1994, Secret Garden held their first Chinese concert in Shanghai five years ago.
