A documentary film Hello, Xiaoping made debut in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on Sunday to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the late leader's birth.
The film debut reception was a tribute paid by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) in commemoration of Deng, known as the chief architect of China's socialist reform, opening-up and modernization drive, founder of Deng Xiaoping Theory and mastermind of China's "one country, two systems" principle.
"As we watch this film, Chinese people are experiencing the fruitful result of China's socialist reform, opening-up and modernization drive, and the principle of `one country, two systems' has achieved a primary success in its practices in Macao," said Kong Fanzhuang, communications official with the Liaison Office, at the reception.
As China's first full-length documentary movie distributed overseas, Hello Xiaoping shares the memory of Deng's 70-odd-yearpolitical life through valuable historical records on film.
Macao's chief executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah, director of the Liaison Office Bai Zhijian and principal officials of the Macao SAR government, personages from influential societies and the media attended the film debut.
