One of the most beloved ensembles in Denmark, the Danish National Women's Chorus, has come to Beijing. It's the group's first trip to China.
The patron of the girls' choir, Princess Alexandra, is accompanying the group. Its repertoire includes Danish folk songs, church music and melodies adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.
Radio stations in both China and Denmark are expected to rebroadcast the concerts. The choir is made up of 100 members between the ages of nine and 19. It performs concerts in Denmark as well as abroad, and is heard regularly on radio and television.
