A major bridge was completed and opened to traffic Monday in Yigong Township of Bomi County in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, which was hit by a large landslide last June.
The two-tower suspension bridge is 258 meters long and 5.2 meters wide. The main span of the bridge is 210 meters long and 3. 7 meters wide and the tower is 31.5 meters high.
As an important part of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, the bridge can handle both cars and large-scale trucks, said a local official.
Construction on the bridge started in last October after the original bridge and some highways were destroyed by a large landslide in the township last June.
