Shanghai people can buy air tickets through vending machines starting yesterday, thanks to a ticket vending system developed by Shanghai Airlines and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Passengers, with their credit cards, can buy single, return and connecting tickets on the city's five vending machines installed inside ICBC.

By inserting credit cards, passengers will get printed evidence from the machines and based on which, they can get tickets from Shanghai Airline's ticket counters at the city's two airports--Pudong and Hongqiao.
