Luxury Hotel in Xinjiang on Fire

A fire broke out in part of a five-star hotel in the capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regionat 9 a.m. Thursday. No causalities have been reported so far.

Sources with Hongfu Hotel said the 12-story Guest House where the blaze occurred was still being decorated and furnished. The fire broke out on the fourth story and spread to the top.

The main building of the hotel remained intact thanks to thick walls between the Guest House and the building.

The cause of the accident was unknown and property losses could not be measured yet, said the sources.

Firemen are still fighting the fire.
