The 4th Harbin Folk Arts Exposition opened in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Saturday.
The 7-day exposition is displaying more than 4,000 masterpiecesin 60 categories of folk art from across the province, and collectively showcases the culture of the Heilongjiang River valley.
The exposition was first held in 1999 in Harbin. It toured Beijing, Shanghai and the United States in 2000 and 2001. The exposition has gained international fame as an event which attracts a high standard of folk art.
