Lufthansa,one of the world's biggest and prestigious airlines,conducted its largest recruitment in Shanghai two days ago,expecting to recruit more than 40stewardesses to improve localized services in the flights between Shanghai and Germany,eastday.com reported today.
Lufthansa held the first round of written and oral examinations two days ago,with the Beijing Foreign Airlines Service Corporation and Shanghai Foreign Airlines Service Corporation,in charge of the examinations.
It is the largest foreign airline recruitment in Shanghai,with the target recruiting number expected to reach more than 40.Lufthansa has recruited in Beijing twice,this is its first time to recruit in Shanghai.
More than 900people applied for jobs with more than 90percent from Shanghai.
Chinese passengers account for nearly 60percent of the total number in China-Germany flights and this is expected to grow,said the spokesman with the Beijing Foreign Airlines Service Corporation.
Lufthansa took the move to tap the Chinese market,claiming more of the market shares and offer better services,said a market analyst.
The European or American Airlines care less about applicants'ages when recruiting,service experience is the top priority.Most of the applicants came from the local services sector with many from domestic airlines.The applicants that are accepted can enjoy the same pay as their foreign colleagues.
