The Heilongjiang Art Troupe of China staged its first performance at the National Theater Tuesday evening in Yangon, winning a warm welcome.
Artists of the troupe performed 15 programs including dance, acrobatic and magic shows as well as female vocal solo and instrumental music ensemble.
Some 1,500 people watched the performance. including high- ranking Myanmar and Chinese officials.
The troupe arrived here last weekend for a 10-day visit under the cultural exchange program of China and Myanmar.
During its stay, the troupe will give six performances -- four in the capital of Yangon and two in the country's second largest city of Mandalay.
