Largest Aquarium in Asia

The Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, largest in Asia, will be completed and opened in October near the Oriental TV Tower in Pudong's Lujiazui Area, Xinwen Morning News reported today.

Visitors can enjoy a visiting of almost all the aquatic lives in the world in the building with 31 zones displaying 10,000 more varieties of fishes and other aquatic lives.

The two-level building will include a 110- meter tunnel for sightseeing, the longest of its kind, and 25 pools on the second floor.

The first fish to live in the aquarium will be a 300,000-yuan (US$36,000) sunfish from Japan. It will be sent into the building next month.
