Guangzhou transportation authorities have ordered new management regulations toward taxis drivers to help improve their service quality.
The new regulation said that starting from June, all drivers will be suspended of their licenses and out of taxi industry for three years in the city in case of being complained by customers about poor services for three times during a year.
And those being complained for twice will have to receive training and pass exams again to get the chance of continuing the business.
The city has established computer networks to record the performance of taxis drivers.
It started a training program to the city's 30,000 more drivers in March. Drivers were encouraged to learn 100 notes of daily communication in English.
To reduce the number of unlicensed taxis, it will begin this month adding uniform marks to taxis, officials said.
