Most Chinese students would consider themselves lucky to be able to pursue a college education - especially in a top university like Tsinghua.
But a third year student of Tsinghua University has dropped out to take the national college entrance examinations again because he does not like his major, reports Beijing Times.
Liu, a macromolecule material major for the past two years, believes learning a subject he does not like is meaningless.
"I have no interest in my current major. I would rather take the examination again instead of forcing myself," said Liu.
He is planning to apply for the computer science school of Tsinghua this year.
