A young Chinese man has become involved in a bitter quarrel with a public-toilet attendant because she reserves a section for foreigners, reports Star Times.
The man was denied access to a certain part of the toilet because "they were for foreigners", he said.
"There are people fawning over foreigners, even in toilets," he said.
But the toilet attendant believes she has been "saving face" for the country.
"Chinese have bad toilet manners and some vomit all over the place after drinking," said the woman in charge of the toilet in Sanlitun, a well-known bar area in Beijing.
Many foreigners use the toilet so she reserved a few stalls "so they would not see the dirty things", the woman said.
