Born in 1948. Mr. Zhou graduated from Beijing Chemical Engineering Institute in 1975, and obtained Ph.D from Tsinghua University in 1985, majoring in systems engineering.
Mr. Zhou published more than one hundred research papers and more than ten books at home and abroad. The research topic "General Quantitative Analysis in China 2000" won the first prize for State Science and Technology Development. The thesis "Reestablishing the Relationship between Enterprises and Banks" won "Sun Yefang Economics Prize" in 1994, and the book "On the Way to Opening Economy" won "An Zijie International Trade Work Prize". In 1997, the thesis "Social Security: System Reform and Suggestion" won "Sun Yefang Economics Prize".
