Album Hero To Meet Beijing Fans

Taiwan singer, Leehom Wong, introduced his latest album Hero to the Beijing media at the Opera House in HuGuang Guild Hall on Wednesday.

Since the singer has incorporated Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera elements into his R&B album, he chose to open the press conference with a taste of opera.

Peking opera master Li Yan, who made a guest performance in Leehom Wong's music video for the single Hua Tian Cuo, repeated the act live to great applause.

The singer also revealed a concert tour is currently under preparation but the exact dates have yet to be decided.

Since his last album Shangri-La, the singer has broadened Chinese pop music by adapting various ethnic music elements in his music and creating a new genre known as "chinked-out". In this new album, he continues on his distinctive way, absorbing traditional Chinese Opera into R&B.

The album Hero has sold over one million copies since it was released on 31 December 2005.

Today, the singer will sign albums for fans at the FAB record shop in Wangfujing Xin Tian Di from 3:00 PM.
