Zhang Liangying Joins Huayi, Huayou

Widely acknowledged as the Super Girl with the most talent, Zhang Liangying finally signed with two of the leading Chinese labels, Huayi Brothers and Huayou Century, who pledged to forge Zhang into a super star in the domestic movie and music scenes.

The Sina Web site reported Tuesday that the two companies will be investing more than 10 million yuan (US$1.23 million) to produce Zhang's albums and a film with the Super Girl in the lead role.

Zhang's contract was signed one day after another Super Girl Li Yuchun joined Taihe Rye Music.

Huayi Brothers, whose singers include popular duo Yu Quan along with Huang Zheng, will be deploying its top production and promotion strength to develop Zhang into one of China's top singers. "Zhang's first single will be released in December and over the next five years we will produce four albums for her," said Yuan Tao, vice general manager of Huayi.

Huayou Century's experience in digital entertainment will offer international opportunities for the Super Girl. "Zhang Liangying is definitely powerful enough to become a super star," Wu Feng, vice president of Huayou Century said.

It is also reported that Zhang will be a guest singer in US Michael Bolton's concert December 14 in Beijing.

Huayi Brothers, which has created a series of box-office miracles in the domestic movie market, also promised to use its strength to expand Zhang's career to the silver screen. The talented beauty is on her way to becoming a polished entertainer.
