The winners in the "Best-Long-TV Series" were "Field of Hope," "Provincial Party Secretary" and other nine works. In the "Best Medium-Length TV Series" category, "Yun Daiying" and other five pieces won the awards. In the best Short-TV Series, "Green Kunlun Mountain" and four other programs won the prize

As in years' past, this year's festival has also attracted a huge audience, as well as TV stars and singers both from home and abroad. They have gathered to celebrate the progress that Chinese TV series have made during the past year.

As China's "Emmy Awards", the "Golden Eagle Awards" ceremony is the only national TV award show determined by audience vote. It was initiated in the year 1983. The festival offers an excellent opportunity to promote better programs, as well as program-exchange.

Among the most popular categories are "Most Attractive and Popular Actor and Actress". They will be chosen from among the top ten performers in each category by audience vote. The "Best Performing Art" award has been newly added to this year's festival. The winner will be determined by a special committee composed exclusively from the audience. The winners of all of the awards will be announced during the closing ceremony of the festival.
