China will soon publish a new regulation on marriage registration, giving people more freedom in getting married.

According to the regulation, men and women who want to get married will not to be required to get permit from their work or living place before marriage registration.

They can also choose whether to have pre-marriage medical examination.

Permanent residential certificate and ID card are the only two requirements when registering a marriage.
