The Wudalianchi scenic spot, 60 kilometers from Bei'an city in the Xiao Xinganling Mountain in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has been chosen as one of the seven geological parks in China.
Wudalianchi, which means five inter-related lakes in the Chinese language, is known as a "volcanic geological museum" and the "natural volcanic park." It performs such functions as tourism, recuperation, scientific research and resources development.
