How Do I Adopt a Baby in China?
China.org.cn:

I am writing to you because I am hoping to adopt a Chinese baby. I am not sure who to contact about information, laws etc. Can you please tell me who to write to?

I have heard that the Chinese government only allow a certain amount of children to be adopted by British citizens, is that true?

I hope you are able to answer my questions or to refer me to someone else.

Kind regards,

Marianne Berends

Dear Marianne Berends,

We suggest you contact China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) at No.7 Baiguang Road, Zhongmin Building, Xuanwu District, Beijing 100053, P.R.China, which is under the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC. You might also visit the center’s website at http://www.china-ccaa.org/old/, which contains lots of information such as relevant documents, guidelines, contact e-mail and address.

The center has many experts who, we believe, can answer your further questions.

Best regards,

The editors
