Those who hold the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports will be granted multiple-entry tourist visas valid for no more than three years by the Japanese government as of October 3, according to the latest official sources.
This means the maximum term of validity of the tourist visas will be extended by two years, the Identification Bureau of the SAR government has announced.
The authorities said that the effort will further promote tourism and economic exchanges between the two places.
At present, the Japanese citizens enjoy free-visa treatment for no more than 30 days in Macao.
