Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met in Beijing Tuesday with Robert Iger, president of the U.S. Walt Disney Company, and his party.
Zhu briefed the guests on China's reforms and opening-up policy and economic situation and welcomed the Walt Disney company to invest in and conduct cooperation with China.
He said he hopes that the U.S. entrepreneurs will be far- sighted and do business to help promote Sino-U.S. friendly relations.
Iger said that he has been interested in the Chinese market, and expounded how his company has conducted cooperation with China in the areas of broadcasting and film in recent years. He noted he will continue to promote bilateral contacts in this regard.
Iger is visiting China at the invitation of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
