The No.213 national highway in southwest China's Sichuan Province temporarily reopened to traffic Tuesday afternoon, three days after a landslide blocked the road.
The traffic on the highway, which links this capital city of Sichuan with Tibet Autonomous region and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Aba, was stopped due to a landslide that occurred Saturday.
Following the slide, all buses were required to re-route to other roads, according to a joint announcement issued by the provincial office of public security, traffic bureau and tourism bureau.
The road is expected to resume normal operation by 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to local traffic departments.
