Shanghai to Hangzhou Trip Cut By 25 Minutes

The time for the train journey from Shanghai to Hangzhou will be reduced by 25 minutes according to Shanghai Railway Bureau,eastday.com reported today.

The train's speed will reach up to 120 kilometers an hour,with the time for the journey to around 100 minutes one way.(The trains commuting between Shanghai and Linping are up to speed of 140 kilometers an hour,and from Linping to Hangzhou 120 kilometers an hour.)The fastest speed now is 127 minutes.Shanghai Railway workers will ameliorate 24 line curves,adjust 41 lines,exchange 184 sets of forks on the road,150,000 pieces of armored concrete and build a 175-kilometer-long bolsters from June 21.

Key project will be carried on from July 12 through July 3 1along the line.The work is the railway's most difficult speed raising project,and with the shortest deadline to meet the very high technical level.
