South China's Guangdong Province has the biggest transient population in China, figures from the provincial committee for comprehensive treatment of social order show.
Guangdong is home to 21.3 million transients, or one-third of the national total.
The province has 2.75 million rented apartments, and over 40 percent of transient population live rented accommodation.
Guangdong is a global base for processing trade, offering many opportunities to job seekers.
