Olympic Posters Go on Display in Beijing
A display featuring 300 Olympic posters collected from college students around China is being held in Beijing as part of the celebrations to mark the 2nd anniversary of the city's successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Organizers received more than 3,000 entries from 266 colleges and universities around the nation since the collection was initiated in March this year.

"This activity is aimed to help the younger generation understand the Olympic motto of 'altius, citius and fortius'," said Jiang Xiaoyu, vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic (BOCOG), at the opening ceremony of the display on Saturday.

The display, which is believed to reflect the students' mastery of visual art, will go on till Thursday.

The Chinese capital city was awarded the right to host the 2008 Olympic on July 13, 2001.
