The 2003 Spring/Summer Men's Wear collection takes on and extends a design notion emphasizing natural concepts. With clean-cut designs and natural and fluent lines, the collection aims to present elegance while incorporating the most up-to-date fashion ideas.
Its unique knitwear product, "Fil-Lumiere", is again the star of the men's collection.
Overall cleanness of lineis the theme of Montagut's 2003 Spring/Summer women's collection.
Leaving the traditional mix-and-match concept far behind, the latest Montagut Spring/Summer collection pursues comfort and elegance with an infiltration of some trendy elements. It gives off a kind of zeitgeist instead of coltishness and pride.
The natural colours represent the world of nature and also nostalgia. The colour concepts in the latest collection are rich and saturate the eye like the works of the Impressionist master painter Monet.
The essential hues of the collection are blue, black, khaki, camel, barley and white. Natural colours such as sienna, coffee, verdure, burgundy, metal and champagne are chosen as ambient colours.
All the colours are able to be mixed together with the aim of impacting on viewers as in inspired art.
Montagut's classic Fil-Lumiere collection has been designed to follow three directions: weaved, jacquard effects, to give an impression of layered prints; geometrical patterns; and, Parisian movements.
A sensual movement effect is created by knitted, embossed patterns. Very small andrefined embossed designs give an elegant and poetic effect of movement. The ribbed design is still there.
Hem-stitched designs can also be seen, along with striped patterns: matt or shiny, sensual, multi-faced, and flat-ribbed. Small dotted embossed prints give a sensual effect.
The cutting of all Montagut's clothing, from T-shirts to suits and all its jackets, shirts and pants, are designed to fit consumers in China.
Montagut takes its customers back to nature and to feelings of nostalgia. Xu Xiaomin
