The Third China Arts and Crafts Master Works Exhibition kicked off October 31 in Hangzhou, the capital city of East China's Zhejiang Province.
Nearly 20,000 pieces of arts and crafts works by Chinese and foreign artists are displayed at the exhibition, which will last till November 4, also a part of the ongoing West Lake Expo unveiled October 19.
The selection of works features a variety of items, including gold and silver jewelry, woodcrafts, stone carve, jade ornament and so on. There are not only Chinese folk handicrafts, but exotic art works from Nepal, Congo, Zambia and many other countries as well.
A jade inlay work carved on an over 50-meter long screen is a spectacular scene along one side of the exhibition hall. It is made by Datang Arts and Crafts Company from Zhejiang's Taizhou city. The jade inlay screen vividly tells a series of stories about "Silk Road" with various jade carved characters.
A picture album named Master Works of Contemporary Arts and Crafts is issued during the art show and has drawn deep interest of art lovers.
