Survey Says Macao Students Lack Sleep

Macao's university students suffer from a lack of sleep, a survey conducted by the General Association of Chinese Students of Macao revealed Thursday.

The respondents, enrolled in five local educational institutions, sleep 6.87 hours per day, 1.5 hours less than the normal standard.

Meanwhile, the survey showed that the local students engaged in part-time employment work an average of three to four hours per day, "far more than the Taiwanese students do."

The survey also revealed that 27.9 percent of the respondents would choose to reduce their sleeping time for other activities.
