Exhibition to Focus on Lives of Builders

The Shanghai Exhibition Center will host a display beginning this week to honor the construction workers who built the recently opened Yangshan Deep-Water Port.

The exhibition will run from Friday to next Wednesday and is free of charge.

The exhibition will focus on the five virtues of the construction workers: responsibility, struggle, sacrifice, pragmatism and unity.

It will include more than 300 pictures to give a vivid description on the hardship and difficulty that builders experienced in the past three years.

In addition, visitors can learn about the entire construction process from its commencement in June 2002 to its completion on December 10, 2005 through computer cartoons, videos and models.

Organizers will set up several lifelike scenes at the hall presenting the plain life and arduous tasks builders faced at the construction site, to give visitors a feeling that they are taking part in the construction work.
