Seven percent of moon-cakes made in China do not meet the national quality requirement, the Economic Information Daily Wednesday quoted the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine as saying.
The latest sample investigation by the Administration showed that only 93 out of 100 brands of moon-cakes made in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangxi and Xinjiang met the national quality requirement.
Moon-cake is a kind of traditional Chinese food for mid autumn festival, which falls on September 18 this year.
