McDonald's Announces Full Transparency in China

McDonald's China announced Wednesday that it is literally opening its kitchen doors to the public on September 10 and 11, 2005.

The move is to raise consumer awareness and demonstrate first-hand strict food safety procedures the company enforces in all of its restaurants across China.

This breakthrough consumer educating initiative kicks off on September 1, 2005 with Eddie Tang, Chief Operations Officer for McDonald's China, annoucing nationally on CCTV the opening of registration as well as a sneak peek into what consumers will see as they tour McDonald's kitchens.

China Cuisine Association applauds McDonald's Open Doors initiative for increasing transparency and being the leader in providing education directly to consumers which in turn boosts consumer confidence in China which benefits everyone.

For more information on Open Doors, you can log onto McDonald's Chinese website or stop into any McDonald's restaurant.
