Chinese Tibetan antelope film Kekexili: Mountain Patrol has been accepted into World Cinema Competition session of in the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, China Radio International reported on Wednesday.
The Sundance Institute yesterday announced the line-up of films for the Independent Feature Film Competition and the inaugural World Cinema Competition at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
Sixth generation Chinese director Lu Chuan's film Kekexili: Mountain Patrol is the only Chinese film to be included in line up for the prestigious festival.
It is the first year that the festival has had a World Cinema Competition session.
The Festival is the premier showcase for American independent film, and an important new platform for international independent film.
It screens films that embody risk-taking, diversity, and aesthetic innovation.
The Festival is held in January in Utah in the US.
