Kashmir Issue Should Be Solved Peacefully: FM

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said in Beijing Thursday that China hopes that the Kashmir Issue would be resolved justly and reasonably in a peaceful way by parties concerned.

Kong said as a neighbor of India and Pakistan, China is very concerned about the deteriorating situation and sincerely hopes that they would exercise restraint and resolve the issue through consultation and dialogue, maintaining peace and stability in the South Asia region.

To resolve India-Pakistan tensions through peaceful means was in the fundamental interests of the two peoples, and also served the common interests of all countries in South Asia, said the spokesman.
