The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas, has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing attack in Israel's northern city of Netanya on Sunday afternoon, Israel TV reported.
According to an earlier report, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has told the Abu Dhabi TV in the United Arab Emirates that it was responsible for the suicide bombing attack in Netanya, which killed at least two people and injured some 28 others.
Netanya, close to the 1967 green line border with the West Bank's Palestinian areas, has been a frequent target of the suicide bombing attacks.
The latest explosion in the town, also carried out by the radical Hamas, occurred on March 27, killing 29 civilians. Israel then launched massive retaliatory offensive in the West Bank.
