Pakistan Bus Blast Kills Nine

Nine people were killed and 22 wounded when a bomb exploded on a packed commuter bus on Wednesday in Pakistan's volatile southern city of Karachi, police said.

The blast occurred at around 8 a.m. (0200 GMT) as the bus passed near to two major city hotels, in one of which the New Zealand cricket team is staying.

"The blast occurred in a bus in which there are reports nine people were killed and 22 injured," a police official told Reuters.
