The spokesman said the US Treasury Department had added 62 names to the list of people and organizations whose assets will be frozen, including nine organizations and two individuals operating in the US.
President George W. Bush was expected to make a visit to the "Financial Crime Enforcement Network" of the US Treasury Department's later Wednesday to announce steps to crack down on terrorists' financial networks.
"The president will announce additional actions in the financial war against the terrorists," Fleischer said.
