Kabul Under Renewed Attack by US Warplanes

The Afghan capital of Kabul came under renewed air strike early Wednesday by US warplanes, which dropped bombs that caused at least three powerful explosions, a report reaching here said.

The Taliban forces fired anti-aircraft fire at the two US warplanes, said the report.

Meanwhile, as Qatar's al-Jazeera TV reported, US warplanes Tuesday struck a hospital in Kandahar, the Taliban stronghold, killing five people.

Also on Tuesday, US bombs struck a warehouse used by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Kabul.
