Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher said Sunday that Egypt and China have maintained "good" momentum to develop bilateral ties in various fields these years.
Leaders of the two countries have been attaching great importance to the development of bilateral relations, which will witness further enhancement in the future, Maher said during a meeting with new Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liu Xiaoming.
"Egypt has paid attention to developing friendly and cooperative ties with China and traditionally sticked to One-China policy," Maher said, speaking highly of China's role in supporting the Arab justice cause.
Maher also highly appraised great achievements made by China in its process of economic modernization.
For his part, Liu said that Sino-Egyptian ties have developed very well in the fields of politics, economy, culture, education and science, voicing hope that the "friendly and cooperative" relations would be upgraded in this new century.
