More and more Chinese people spend the seven-day Lunar New Year aboard at their own expenses, which hits historically high this year, the China News Agency reported today.
According to the statistics, at least hundreds of thousands of people plan to spend the New Year in foreign countries and Special Administrative Regions of China, and it is predicted that 20,000 Guangzhou people are going to spend the New Year in Hong Kong and Macau.
Up to 150,000 Shanghai people will travel aboard in this holiday, increasing 12 percent from last year.
As Chinese people's revenue increases, they want to improve their life standard, especially having a special holiday.
