Beijing unveil its awards for the top ten leaders of domestic software enterprises on March 21, who were lauded the "life and soul" of China's software industry.
The ten entrepreneurs selected out are as following: Liu Jiren, chairman and CEO of Neusoft Group Ltd; Wang Wenjing, chairman of Ufsoft Co. Ltd; Lei Jun, president of Kingsoft; Shi Zhongshao, president of Newgrand; Ding Liang, president of Powerise; Zhang Zhenqing, vice-president of AsiaInfo Technologies (China), Ltd; Wang Baihua, chairman of Shandong Langchao Cheeloosoft Co.,Ltd; Jing Xinhai, chairman of CVIC Software Engineering Co.Ltd; Zhang Qichun, chairman of Tongtech Co., Ltd; and Shi Shuicai, general manager of TRS.
Under the vicissitudes of global IT industry, China's software sales reached 28.5 billion yuan last year. The national strategy of "pushing forward industrialization by informationization," on top of China's WTO accession, have created favorable external environment for China's software market and helped draw attention on domestic software enterprises.
The award, initiated by the Software World magazine and under the direction of CCID and China Software Industry Association, produced its results by means of self-report, working unit recommendation as well as public and expert votes.
